Feature
440C balls are a martensitic-type stainless steel, give maximum hardness with good corrosion resistance to fresh water, steam, crude oil, gasoline, perspiration, alcohol, blood and food environment. In addition this material is Ferro-magnetic and makes a fair permanent magnet. Balls are deep freeze stabilized after heat treatment.
Hardness
Modern heat treating facilities, complete with controlled atmosphere and temperature, corrosion resistant, hardened steel balls are made with a through hardness from HRC 58 to 65.
